Numerical analysis of undercut anchor effect on rock

Abstract The paper presents the results of a numerical analysis using Finite Element Method (FEM) friction issue in contact between undercut anchor head and rock during pull-out. Formation failure zone medium was analysed assuming different Coulomb coefficients conical with rock. problem is interesting as regards practical aspects mass loosening revealed significant effect coefficient on propagation extent zone. Increasing factor significantly decreases measured free surface.
